Should we be looking abroad?

Our goal-scoring problem is there for all to see and thankfully the manager has seen it too. Unfortunately I think that Willie Falconer is not the man to change this although he does win a lot in the air. If the latest attempt to get a striker fails (Alun Armstrong of Stockport County) then I think we should look to a different continent.

Due to the U.K.'s boom in transfer fees, value for money is at an all time low. Abroad it's a completely different story, with the price's being lower for a higher standard of player.

Africa has lots of mainly unseen talent but can produce players like Tony Yeboah and Phil Masinga of Leeds and Daniel Ammokachi of Everton. There are also several African players playing in Germany. Top teams have realised the talent that Africa has, with a host of German clubs and the European champions Ajax having Africans on their books. 'Well have at least tried to get some players, but the transfer of midfielder Abraham Koroma fell through.

Anyone who has Eurosport may have seen the African Nations cup and a lot of talented players, who could certainly do a job in our Premier league.
