The game started off well and was pretty even until Kenzie seemed to score a wonder goal from a full 35 yards. He paced forward up the park and spotted the goalkeeper off his line and struck it with power and it hit the back of the net. He later claims that it was the best goal he has ever scored.
It wasn’t long until The Lions got back into things when a good free kick seemed to sneak past all the FPC defenders and was met with the head of a Livi player and went in to the bottom corner of the net. When Lions got one back then it seemed to settle them and they took control of the midfield.
The first major incident of the game was when a tackle from behind on PJM in which he reacted to which resulted in both PJM and a Livingston player being sent off. Livi hit back with two quick strikes before half time to go in at the interval 3-1 up.
The second half started with a lot of play in the middle of the park. FPC were tackling hard and a silly stamp from Mark D saw him being shown his second yellow card and FPC were down to 9 men. Livi scored another goal when a pass was met by an attacker and a very good strike beat Del The Goalie to sail in at the right hand post. This game totally boiled over when Mitch showed total stupidity and was talking back to the referee using language that his mother would not have found acceptable. His game was ended with a red card being shown to the young FPC forward. This was the final moment of the match and the FPC players walked off the park and the game was over with 20 minutes to go.
The debate didn’t end here and it continued outside the changing room for a good 5 mins but everything calmed down and the FPCFC players went on to “enjoy” the game in the afternoon.
Pretty disappointing morning in terms of performance and score but maybe next time for FirParkCorner FC
