Firparkcorner FC lose to Livi Lions
With the sun shining in the eyes of the opposition defence FPC thought they had the upper hand. The second half was just as close as the first but The Lions made the break through. A shot from the edge of the box sneaked by Del GK and into the bottom corner. An unhappy FPC team tried to keep their heads up and created a couple of good chances. Dave Hendry had the best of the lot
when he broke the offside trap and was unlucky to see the goalkeeper save his low shot. FPC had a good bit of the play but the passing and movement of the Livi Lions was exceptional.
FirParkCorner went on the attack by moving Moyesie upfront and “Man of The Match” Moonie moved into midfield. All the attacking was costly when a backward header from Jnr to Del GK was badly handled by the normally very reliable goalkeeper and with a Livi forward close by to slot the ball in from a narrow angle a goal was lost.

FPC tried to battle back but in the end they did not deserve anything from the game. The defence performed well and FPC’s most inspirational player was Moony. Not a bad performance by the team with Jnr filling in very well in defence. Jnr has played ever position for FPC including between “the sticks”. Not a good start to the season if you look at points but there is still a good team spirit and team unity.
Unlucky lads, maybe next time.
