The game started off evenly, and the visitors had a couple of decent chances to go ahead before a dreadful individual error from Ross Mitchell allowed a Hearts striker an easy finish. The home side doubled their lead moments later when Jambos player-manager Craig Browning poked home from close range at the back post.
FirParkCorner fought back, and halved the home side’s lead when Tony O'Neill blasted home from long range following some good work from Ross Cunningham in midfield. However, the fightback was short-lived as Real Maroon notched their third goal just before the break to kill off the match.
The Edinburgh side now find themselves two points clear at the top of the league and this match could prove to have been crucial in deciding the destination of the championship trophy. It was a hugely disappointing match for FPC given the hoodoo the capital team seem to have over Fraser's team. He was heard to say at the post-match press conference “I was obviously upset at losing the match but somehow I think I would feel better if I could blame the weather or the referee but, as it is, we simply lost to a better team and that's disheartening.”
