Playing into the gale in the first half, the home side struggled to put any pressure on the Dundonian’s goal but were unlucky to find themselves behind as a freak corner kick sailed directly into the back of the net.

After the interval, the Corner began to take a grip on the proceedings, and it wasn't long before Joseph Lynas stretched his lead at the top of the goalscoring charts, outpacing a defender before slotting into the corner of the net.

It was 2-1 shortly afterwards as the visiting 'keeper was forced into a rushed clearance, which landed at the feet of Michael Anderson who fired into the corner of the net from thirty yards, despite the best efforts of a defender on the line.

Debutant Fraser Lang thought he had wrapped up the points five minutes later as he fired into the bottom corner, but he was adjudged to have used a hand in the build-up.

However, the third goal was never too far away and neat play on the right hand side from Lang and Tony O'Neill released Gerard Maguire to volley home to make it two goals in two games for the big frontman.

The victory for FPC keeps the Championship in their sights, but they now have to rely on their Edinburgh rivals dropping points if they are to have any chance of snatching the trophy. Next month sees trips to both Perth and Wimbledon in quarter finals as the Corner edge ever closer to their first piece of major silverware.
