However, the home side proved to be a tougher test than before and only a huge slice of luck handed Fraser's side the points.

The windy conditions ensured there would not be much in the way of free-flowing football but the Corner almost found themselves a goal down as disarray in the defence saw the ball strike the inside of the post before rolling along the line as Farmer got himself down well to collect.

Most of the action, however, was in the home goalmouth and Davie Tonner was handed the chance to give his side the lead as Joseph Lynas was scythed down in the box and a penalty was awarded. The veteran striker blasted the ball towards the roof of the net but the strong hand of the goalkeeper managed to keep it out.

He almost made up for his blunder moments later as he connected well with a header, only to see it graze the top of the crossbar as FPC pushed for the decisive goal.

That goal did not come until the second half when a ball floated in by Gavin Hepworth was nodded on to Drew Cunningham who managed to get the slightest of touches. The ball then took a nasty bounce from the uneven pitch and found its way through the goalkeeper's legs. The first goal was always going to be crucial and the Corner were delighted that it went their way.

An away win and a clean sheet is just what the doctor ordered ahead of next week's visit of Real Maroon, as Frasers side will be looking to record their first victory over them in five years of trying.
