FPC were fired an early warning shot as a home striker fired over the bar from close range. As the clock ticked down, another controversial decision from the referee almost caused the game to reach boiling point. With the visitors desperately applying pressure to the home goal in order to salvage an equaliser, efforts from both O'Neill and Lynas were blocked before the ball broke to Ross Galloway twelve yards from goal. As the tenacious midfielder unleashed a low, goal-bound drive, the man in the middle blew his whistle to signal the end of the game. Fortunately, the goalkeeper made an other excellent stop, but it was clear the official expected to see the net bulge, which caused great anger from the Scottish side.

Despite the questionable official, the game was played in the correct spirit and even though it is a disappointing way to go out, everyone at FirParkCorner wishes AFC Wimbledon well for the remainder of the competition. After the match, the tourists proceeded to drown their sorrows into the early hours of the morning and a good time was had by all.
