Conditions in Seville for this month's UEFA Cup final will be completely different to wet and windy Fir Park but Celtic would definitely settle for the same result against Porto after thumping ten-man Motherwell 4-0 to overtake arch rivals Rangers on goal differece at the top of the SPL.
Rangers themselves must be annoyed that Motherwell's promising start was cut short with a sending-off of Derek Adams, allowing Celtic to turn a potential banana skin into a feast of goals.
Most aggrieved of all will be Motherwell, who looked in the mood to repeat September's famous victory over Celtic, only to self-destruct for the umpteenth time this season, leaving them stranded a the foot of the table.
But while they still had 11 men on the field Motherwell more than held their own with full-back Steven Hammell worrying the visiting defence in the opening 60 seconds.
The champions hit back through Alan Thompson, Henrik Larsson and Stilian Petrov, while former Well favourite Paul Lambert tested keeper Stevie Woods with a low drive from just inside the box.
Motherwell's golden boy James McFadden was causing Celtic plenty of problems and after his shot had been saved, defender David Partridge saw a free header blocked.
The sudden departure of Adams for violent conduct did not hamper Motherwell initially as Martyn Corrigan forced a fine save from Javier Sanchez Broto, but Celtic soon made them pay when Larsson set up Petrov for a vicious low finish from a tricky angle.
In the 55th minute Larsson again supplied the ammunition for the Bulgarian to pull the trigger and within the next ten minutes Lambert had added the extra two goals required to overhaul Rangers.
His first was a simple tap-in from six yards, but the second was quite magnificent as he caught Woods out with an outrageous chip from long range.
