Prediction v Hibs (h)

At the time of writing there seems to be some last minute activity on the transfer front with Graham Mathie arriving and Kevin Gallacher possibly being in line for a move to Fir Park. I don’t know anything about Mathie but Gallacher would be a handy signing. He would bring loads of experience with him, has a decent reputation as a goalscorer and I could see him doing fairly well at this level. He has had a few serious injuries in his time but if he is fit and focussed he could cause opposing defences more than a few problems.

Three goals from four games
Hibs are obviously having a few problems at the back and have conceded 13 goals in their 4 games so far. Ok so they have already faced Rangers and Hearts and conceded 9 in those 2 games but I am sure they would have expected something a little better.

So hopefully we are going to get a few chances on Saturday and lets hope we can stick a couple away. By all accounts we should have wrapped up the 3 points at Tannadice before half-time but squandered the chances that came along and in the end were hanging on for a point.

So to the prediction! The main statistic that is the dangerous one from Motherwell’s point of view is the fact that Hibs are coming to Fir Park with no wins this season. We all know how accommodating we can be to sides looking for their first 3 points. Hopefully the good start to the season will have the crowd right behind the team and encourage the lads to get at them from the kick-off and keep the opposition from getting forward too often. I fancy us to just squeak it 2-1.
