The majority of players at Fir Park enjoyed a weekend off with the latest international break – likely welcome rest to ease some sore muscles from the effort of clawing a point off Celtic the week before!
The gateway to international recognition?
Chris Cadden and Alan Campbell were both in action for Scotland under 21s, but may wish they too had been able to put their feet up. Rescuing a late point against Andorra is definitely better than losing to Andorra – but it's hardly one for the CV.
Trevor Carson will be infinitely happy with a winning Northern Ireland debut and Cedric Kipré's whirlwind rise continued with a call-up to the Ivory Coast.
Does any of this really matter for Motherwell? It is hard to say for sure but if given the choice between having internationals and not, we'd probably take it. Boosting our reputation is likely to be of more value than rest – so long as there are not too many repeats of Andorra.
