Stuart McCall lead his charges to a Scottish Cup win at Dens in January 2011 at the start of a run that would see us knock out Dundee United in a quarter final replay before losing in the final to Celtic.
Before that our last trip was in February 2005 when we lost 1-2 to the Dundee side that was to be relegated. Stevie Hammell is the only current 'Well player who took part in that game though Gordon Marshall, presently our goalkeeping coach, was between the sticks. Our starting eleven was Marshall, Hammell, Craigan, McDonald, Leitch, O'Donnell, Partridge, Hamilton, McBride, Paterson and Quinn.
Motherwell fans will be housed in the 3,000 seat Bob Shankly Stand behind the goal. This was one of two stands built following the Dee's promotion in 1998/99. Saturday's admission will cost £20(£10 concessions) for adults (note that we'll be charging their support £22(£15 concessions) when they come to Fir Park in November - poor stuff).
Dundee have yet to win at home this season and following their win at Tynecastle at the start of the month they'll be up for this one.
