Hundreds of fans of all ages spent a few happy hours browsing the displays, meeting players, having their Motherwell mememtos scanned for the archive and, of greatest importance, completing volunteering forms for Alzheimer Scotland.
There were plenty of black and white photographs on show to spark off discussions of times gone by while many of the youngsters present concentrated on entering the Draw a Player competition. The stadium tours proved to be very popular and much was made of the photo opportunities with well kent Motherwell faces.
The Football Memories project trains volunteers to spend time with people with dementia who have an interest in football. They plan to create a database of supporters' stories online and in book form to support their work.
The organisers were keen to praise the support offered by MFC for this event and also for the award winning Dementia Café that is held in Fir Park on the afternoon of the first Friday of every month. Call 01698 269649 for information.
