November was a short, but productive month for Motherwell. It started with a draw against St Mirren and was followed by away wins at Inverness and Kilmarnock.
December also started with a win when Gretna were put to the sword last week. While recognition of any sort is welcome, Mark was the first to point out that a similar run of results this month would be much more impressive, "So if I was to win it next month I would be especially pleased."
These awards have arrived two at a time before at Fir Park. Butcher and McLean were in the headlines for their efforts in March 2006 while in September 2004 Butcher and McDonald were the pair in the headlines.
Let's hope the awards don't bring with them the usual fall from grace and that we can extend our good form throughout the busy festive season games.
