MFC TV carries the full conference but here are some extracts.
“Naturally we’re the underdogs. We’ve had a look at a couple of their pre-season DVDs and without doubt they have some quality players in their ranks. We’ll want to do our best in the home game and in an ideal world we’ll have a clean sheet and maybe sneak a goal. It would be nice still to be in it when we go over there.
“We want to win any game we play but we’re under no illusions how difficult this will be. We know we have a chance and we’ll give it our best shot.
“I sense the players are looking forward to it and I just want to see them doing themselves justice. At the end of the day if we go out and do our best and it isn’t good enough then so be it.
“We’ve had a difficult pre-season with a couple of niggling injuries but we’re through that and only Saunders will be unavailable. We had a good performance against Everton.
“I was at the St Johnstone (Europa League) game and thought their supporters were great. We’ll need the fans behind us. If we lose a goal it doesn’t necessarily mean the tie is over. They’ll need to stay with us throughout the ninety minutes and I know they are looking forward to it as much as the players.
“ I’ll be disappointed if we can’t get (the crowd) into double figures (10,000+). I know the prices are a little bit steeper than usual and with the tight ground the atmospheres should be bristling
“Were conscious of not being naive but not going gung ho but we also want to cause them a threat. Since I’ve been here we’ve been at our best going forward. We have players in our ranks that can cause teams problems and that’s what we’ve got to aim to do.
“There’s nothing to fear, there’s not a great deal of expectation on us. We don’t expect to be the dominant side but there will be opportunities for us and we hope we can take them.
“The pressure is on them but they have experienced players
“Their manager is a wily old campaigner with great knowledge and experience. I’m sure he’ll be streetwise and know what he wants to achieve from this game. I don’t know if they’ll try to kill the tie in the first twenty minutes or if they’ll sit in and have a look at us first or will they think that a 0-0 is good from them. So I’ll try to concentrate on us. At the end of the day the players have to perform in that arena and our lads are keyed up for it.
And on Ross County’s generous decision to pay for Motherwell fan buses...
“It’s a fantastic gesture and if they can pay for the team bus to go up there on the Friday night then we can have a stay over! Hopefully a lot of Motherwell fans will take up the offer.
