Tom Aldred has returned to Motherwell for his second loan spell from Bury. The 27 year old central defender made a big contribution to our success last season and he'll be welcomed with open arms by the Fir Park faithful.
His capture comes a week after the departure of Cederic Kipré and his arrival will plug the considerable gap in our central defence. His loan spell runs until the end of the season.
His first spell started in January and ended with a Scottish Cup final appearance in May. His familiarity with the club and most of the squad should help him get up to speed quickly and he will likely make a start against Hamilton on Saturday.
His last appearance at Fir Park was against Hamilton when he scored his only goal in claret and amber.
Speaking on the MFC site he said “I’m buzzing to be back. It doesn’t feel as if I have been away.
“Just getting back into the ground, it reignited great memories of last season here and I am keen to kick on again.
Welcome back Tom.
