Last season’s first day win against Inverness was only our second in twelve attempts but it provided a great stimulus and we led the table after six games.
The promotion of Ross County has placed a new ground on the away list and we can only hope that the journey(s) to Dingwall will not have to be undertaken in the worst of the winter weather. A new venue comes all too rarely and the chance to bag a first trip to Victoria Park should encourage a bigger travelling support to cross the Kessock Bridge.
The great imponderable will be the status of Rangers next season. The saga that started on Valentine’s Day shows no sign of ending soon (regardless of the CVA vote on Thursday) but there will have to be some sort of resolution before the opening weekend arrives on 4 August.
Meanwhile here is the sorry tale of 2 wins, 2 draws and 8 losses.....
