Alisdair Barron’s upbeat letter paints a bright picture and points out that despite some minor price rises, ‘We’re still offering the best value football in season 2002/3”.

There is a small bonus in the benefits to be gained from a season ticket this year. There will be discount vouchers in the book allowing entry to at least two away matches for a twenty five percent discount. These are likely to be for the visits to Kilmarnock and possibly Dunfermline. The club is to be congratulated for negotiating these benefits for the committed travelling fans and it is to be hoped that more SPL clubs will join the scheme. After all any game is enhanced by the presence of a healthy away support.
At the moment only postal applications are being encouraged and an addressed envelope is enclosed in the mailing for the return of the renewal form. A general sale will be available at the ticket office from July 6.
Full details of the 2002/3 season ticket prices are available here.
Further enclosures encourage membership of the SuperWell 7 and Claret and Amber Clubs. Given the low cost of this season’s tickets (when many fans expected a more substantial increase) it is hoped that there will be a healthy response to the fundraiser.
The administrator has his say too. There is a note from Bryan Jackson in which he explains that the monies raised from season ticket sales will be held separately from other club finances and that it will be protected in such a way as ton guarantee entry to the ground throughout the ownership change which is forthcoming.
No excuses – get the renewals posted off asap!
Come on ye ‘Well.
