The last visit from West Bromwich was in 1978 when they played in the Joe Wark Testimonial match. On that occasion Cunningham, Regis and co. trounced us 8-1. A young Bryan Robson was in that squad and he returns as manager with his team in the middle of a three match Scottish tour.

They were at Rugby Park on Thursday night and despite the presence of notables like Hartson and Quashie they managed to lose 2-1. It was said to be a strong side the tourists fielded but Killie managed to score twice.
Our three match expedition to Northern Ireland came to a close on Friday evening when Larne were defeated 2-0. A few first team regulars were rested with the prospect of another game inside forty eight hours. Clarkson and Coakley got the goals.
The home fans will be keen to have a look at Ross McCormack. He is the only new signing to date. In all probability we'll be able to make an assessment of Jim Paterson who seems to in training as a temporary left back but that apart there will be little change from last season regular shape.
A win would be a confidence booster ahead of the SPL opener next Sunday so let's hope for a 1-0 victory.
