Preview- Dunfermline (h)

Motherwell may be emerging the poor start which saw us drop to the bottom but with two wins and a draw in the last three outings (including a Foran hat trick v Queen's Park!) it could be that better times are ahead. The Pars, meanwhile, have slumped and their haul amounts to three points from the last four games. In three of those outings they failed to score.

Paterson got the opener last time
Here will be no shortage of cash on the likelihood of Jim Hamilton opening his score sheet for his latest employers at our expense. He will be expecting a warm welcome and no doubt the East Stand provide many who will be happy to oblige.

It is difficult to see any starting line up from Malpas other than that which scored five against the woeful Kilmarnock eleven who turned up at Fir Park a fortnight ago. Foran, Reynolds, Kerr and McDonald (x2) delivered the goods but they were backed up by a confident showing from the rest of their team mates.

There is much at stake and both managers will be stressing that hard work and determination are likely to be more important that any attempts to deliver silky soccer. It won't be pretty and there is every chance that the avoidance of defeat could be a decisive influence, so a share of the spoils could be on the cards – 1-1.
