Preview- Aberdeen (a)

Motherwell has found Pittodrie to be a happy hunting ground in recent years. The last five trips have produced three wins, one draw and one loss for the Steelmen. This season has seen the teams meet three times already and we have taken two wins and a draw from the encounters.

Happy times at Pittodrie

Terry's tactical change against Hibs last week caused confusion in the opposition ranks and we can assume that the management team have been busy at the tactics table plotting the scheme which will deliver three points on Saturday.

Smith may well return in goal and the back four picks itself. The real debate will be the configuration of the midfield and forward line. If Hamilton returns (and wouldn't it be lovely if he could score another goal similar to the screamer he produced at Pittodrie in October) then one of last week's midfield has to make room. McBride has still not recovered the form he produced before his long term injury and he may start on the bench.

Aberdeen
had a good run in February (3 SPL wins) but March has seen only one win from three. Calderwood's frustration at his team's performances over the season is well recorded and he is well aware if the need to avoid a defeat. He sent out a 3-5-2 formation which secured a win against Livingston last week but a more defensive setup can be expected on Saturday.

Calderwood has said that he thinks Terry would settle for a point but the momentum we have built up over the last few games suggests that we will go for the win. Get a pound on a 2-1 away win.
