Hibs have the potential to be one of the best sides in the country yet somehow they haven't quite clicked this season. Even when defeating Falkirk, St Mirren and St Johnstone they haven't always been impressive and John Hughes will want them to lift their game now. If we can stop the supply to the likes of Stokes, Nish and Riordan then we will have a good basis to search for a win.
Come on ye 'Well
But are we capable of doing that? One goal in three league games (a penalty at that) and a momentous struggle against Inverness in the cup should remind us that our strengths so far have been organisation and determination rather than attacking prowess. Of course there have been moments of inspiration from Forbes but when he isn't producing magic the front line does not seem potent enough yet.
Jutkiewicz hasn't settled, Sutton is carrying a knock and Murphy hasn't built on his excellent Europa League form. While one of the big men will probably be thrown a jersey anyway, it could be our main threat is carried by another teenager, Robert McHugh, looking to make a name for himself. A winning goal here would certainly help!
Last week's tie at Dundee United showed that two evenly matched sides can cancel each other out and that could well happen again here. We shouldn't be distraught at ending with a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
Remember the last time Hibs were at Fir Park?
