We have of course already played, and beaten, Gretna at Fir Park in what was their 'home' game. On that day we had luck on our side though as a cross from Lasley dropped inside the post and Porter deflected home our winner. Since then Gretna have looked dismal more often than not but they do appear to be enjoying a revival of sorts as they put up a spirited fight against Hibs before drawing with Hearts.
Lasley celebrates
On the other hand we have been flying with two aways wins being recorded in our last two games. Our away record is now one of the best in the country but regardless of venue we must be looking to beat sides like Gretna.
It seems unlikely Mark McGhee would consider changing the winning side but Stephen Hughes will feel he can contribute a lot when called upon. Gretna do have a couple of decent players though so while the midfield will be primarily focussed on attacking they cannot completely disregard their defensive duties.
We are better than Gretna, the league table makes that abundantly clear, yet we struggled against them last time. We must not be complacent or take things for granted but if we can play to our best another professional performance should see us pick up a healthy 3-1 win.
Remember our last game against Gretna?
