The Tangerines have won both their home games (2-0 v Hearts and 2-1 v Falkirk) and drawn two on the road. They have to be regarded as one of our competitors for a top half finish so anything taken from Saturday's game will be welcome.

Scott Robertson saw red at Parkhead last week so he'll be missing but Wilkie could be back in the starting eleven, he played a full 90 minutes in closed door game against St Johnstone earlier this week.

Motherwell will be well prepared for the game. It has already become a trademark of Jim Gannon that meticulous preparation and careful planning takes place before every match. He watched United from the BBC commentary area last Saturday and it is clear that he understands the problems we will face.

There was a time when our team selection was fairly predictable but no longer. Our new manager chooses a formation and the personnel depending on the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition and his imports together with the developing talent which he found at Fir Park gives him plenty of options.

Moutaoukil had an excellent SPL debut last week and must be a certainty to start. Craigan will be keen to resume his duties having been rested following his recent efforts for Northern Ireland but both Saunders and Hutchison have impressed when given a chance. Up front we can assume that O'Brien will be on the left but there will not be room for Sutton, Jutkiewicz and Murphy as we take to the field.

It promises to be an entertaining game between to sides capable of playing attractive passing football but it could result in a third consecutive draw for us with a goal apiece - 1-1.

Remember the last visit to Tannadice?
