Preview - Inverness (h)

The Highlanders will be very confident of taking something from us. Not only do they have a very good record at Fir Park, they have improved massively since we thrashed them 3-0 at their place in November. They will probably play a 4-5-1 with Niculae being the lone striker which means they will match us man for man in the centre of the park. They may have an advantage in this area with two wide midfielders joining them but we must rely on Clarkson and McCormack forcing them back to help out the full backs.
In claret and amber Porter will presumably be fit despite being withdrawn with cramp against Gretna. His presence is possibly the key to our team as his recent absences have made it clear just how much he helps the other pair in attack. The midfield engine is Hughes but he went off against Gretna with slight injury trouble - it must be hoped he can recover in time but if not Lasley or McGarry can come off the bench to join Smith and Fitzpatrick.
We really pulled the result out of the fire in the previous meeting between the sides at Fir Park this season and once again any type of win would be most welcome. It may be close but Inverness need points as well if they are to make it into the top six. We might end up with a bit of frustration as we slip to a 1-1 draw.
