Craig and Archie led the procession (proclaiming that the handsome ones were at the front!) as the squad stretched their legs after breakfast. There were plenty of smiles and chatter as they exchanged greeting with both travelling fans and curious locals.
The local paper devoted two double page spreads to tonight’s game, one focussing on each team. There were quotes from Craig Brown expressing his respect for our opponents and pictures of the team training on the pitch at the Tre-for stadium.
The paper predicted that we would start with a 4-5-1 formation (no surprise there) and that OB would likely be in a 4-4-2 shape.
The Blomsterfestival attracted hundreds of locals to see the floral displays and ornate model dragons, pagodas and even a mini-great wall.
The police are to provide an escort for the now routine fans’ procession from the town centre to the stadium leaving an hour and a half before kick off.
