Depending on your point of view, our habit of drawing so often is either seriously threatening our title challenge or the only thing which is keeping us from sinking into the mire. As is often the case, it is probably a little of column A and a little of column B. Our draws have kept us ticking over on the scoreboard and just a couple more wins would have us in a dream position.
It is also fair to say that the level of the SPL this year is at a low ebb. Aberdeen and Hearts are not the scary beasts they occasionally can be while United and Hibs, though performing strongly, are not as strong as some in the media would have us believe.
Craigan looks on in March v United
Our win at Tannadice earlier in the season wasn't quite highway robbery but United will definitely feel they owe us one. They are missing a few players such as Kenneth, Wilkie, Scott Robertson and Sandaza while our injury problems, though significant in number, are not as influential. Jim Gannon still seems a little unsure as to his best line-up and while his tinkering won points earlier in the season, some think it is costing us now.
Either way, he will have to select an eleven and his changes bang on against an in-form side. We may be frustrated with another 1-1 draw but it may also be the best we can get.
