Next up - Hibs

Easter Road is traditionally a difficult place for Motherwell but our recent record there shows an improvement with three wins from our last six visits.  Hibs have made a poor start this season and while Colin Calderwood did produce that wonderful result on Wednesday, previous losses to Hearts, Dundee United and Aberdeen suggest we should not be overly intimidated en route to the capital.

They have a few injuries to worry about but also a very interesting decision to make over talisman Derek Riordan.  He has played, relatively anonymously; in recent defeats but when missing from the line-up due to suspension the side suddenly thrashed Rangers away.  Coincidence?  Hard to say but Hibs having a potential game winner on the bench rather than the park may not do us any harm.

Our side made a surprise change in mid-week as Fitzpatrick filled in for Lasley in the middle of the park with Hateley returning to right back.  Murphy also replaced Gow on the wing but while Craig Brown has shown he is prepared to change a winning team, it would be a bold move to make alterations after such a convincing victory.

Hibs mugged as at home on the opening day of the season and we are more than capable of taking our revenge now.  However, a point in Edinburgh remains a good result and we will probably be quite content if we manage to return home with a 1-1 draw.
