Speculation concerning the vacant manager’s job will continue but the players will ignore all that as they concentrate on the action on the park. Craigan’s team selection and formation delivered a home win against Partick Thistle and that should allow the team to approach this weekend’s game with growing confidence.
There have been no reports of injuries and unless Hammell returns it's likely that the same eleven will be on duty again. Grimshaw moved to the right side of defence to make room for Pearson and McDonald played behind Moult. Fletcher was available after a long absence and he got a few minutes’ involvement when he came on as a late substitute. He’ll be keen to get more game time.
Ojamaa chases in the snowy last visit to Dens
Dundee have played nine games so far a have an even split of wins, losses and draws. One of those defeats was a surprising loss to Dunfermline in the League Cup (they were not the only team to lose to lower opposition!). At Dens Park they lost in August to Hearts and then recorded a win and two draws. They made an impressive recovery last week and salvaged a draw despite trailing 3-1 at the break against Ross County.
With Loy, Hemmings and Stewart already sharing a dozen goals they have a front trio clearly capable of scoring and our back line will have to be on top form to keep them out. The table shows that Dundee have conceded 17 times already and that must be a weakness that has to be exploited.
Don Roberson will be in charge of the match.
Those indications point to a high scoring game. It could end in a 2-2 draw.
