Why Motherwell are so inconsistent is hard to say for sure but there is certainly no reason we cannot be looking to win again. ICT have been in poor form recently and have struggled at home all year while our away record in the Highlands makes surprisingly pleasant reading. We can also take heart from a 2-0 there earlier in the campaign though our scorers on that day, Blackman and Gow, have since left the club.
Inverness are seeing their top six dreams fading and manager Butcher has suggested changes will be made to their eleven. We will have to watch our for Rooney and Foran up front but though they are dangerous, we have kept two clean sheets out of two so far against them.
Our own situation is eased slightly by Craigan returning from suspension though it is not certain he will come straight back into the defence. Saunders and Jones will also be approaching fitness though they can still be considered doubts and while the exact status of Jennings and Lasley is not known, it is probably safe to assume they will be playing below 100 per cent given recent knocks.
After a poor start to 2011 we have now pickd up three wins in the last four so confidence must be on the up. Another victory here would really boost our top six chances and there is no reason to think we cannot get it – 2-0 to the good guys.
