He explained that the extra week added to our season as a result of the play-offs provided an opportunity for him to join the squad in a few training sessions. Both parties reckoned that there was a match in prospect and after we had retained our Premiership place a two year contract was agreed.

Chalmers said that the uncertainty about which league we would be in was not a big issue. He was just keen to play games though obviously preferring the top division.
He was grateful with the experience at Celtic and for much of the time he work with Chris McCart. The 21 year old hopes that the injuries that limited his time on the pitch both at Celtic and at Falkirk are behind him and he declared his intention to work at his fitness levels before the team starts pre-season training.
The positive thoughts of Ian Baraclough and chats with a few of the players indicated that a move to Fir Park was in his best interest.
He watched the play-offs and as the goals went in he was able to relax (he was not alone!).
Although most of his recent playing time has been at left back he feels just as comfortable at left centre back. The 6’ 2” defender can’t wait for a chance to show his worth.
Welcome to Fir Park.
