Next up will be a first home fixture when St Johnstone visit before a trip to Ibrox in round 3. We are scheduled to have only one vist to Fir Park by both Rangers and Celtic before the split. That will not please those in charge of the 'Well finances.
A Hogmany visit to New Douglas Park is one of several interesting away trips but there will be little comfort to see that there are midweek trips to Inverness (28 December) and Dingwall (1 February) on the list.

Last season saw us trapped at the wrong end of the table for weeks on end before a spring renaissance produced a top half finish to transform a poor season into a decent one. We had a change of manager and poor cup runs (again). Who knows what the next campaign will bring?
