Our tie was the fifteenth of the sixteen made at Hampden so those watching had a tense few minutes as John Hughes and Lee Wilkie pulled the balls from the bowl.
The tie will be on the weekend of 8/9 January 2011 and will give us a chance for revenge after Dundee knocked us out in February 2008. On that occasion the dark blues won 2-1 at Fir Park and our cup ambitions under Mark McGhee’s were ended.
The Dees are going through the trauma of administration at the moment and they will be sure to attract a big home support for this tie. Their coffers will gratefully accept the gate money but we’ll have to hope that they get no more from the Cup.
