A star-studded ensemble saw Motherwell paired with Panathinaikos in the Champions League third qualifying draw. We are at home first on July 31 or August 1 with the return in Athens on August 7 or 8.
The Greek side reached the final of the European Cup in 1971, losing to Ajax, and have featured regularly in the modern Champions League. They will be tough opponents.
Nonetheless, they are significantly weaker - apparently - than Fenerbache and Dynamo Kiev but there are various travel possibilities for the fans who intend to go to Greece.
This will be a wonderful occasion for Motherwell and the fans and we can only hope the players do themselves justice.
More coverage and reaction to follow later.
In further positive news, Motherwell today announced major sponsors Cash Converters had extended their link with the club for another year. Further details are available on the official site.
