Motherwell U21s face Ross County at Fir Park on Saturday in the quarter final of the IRN-BRU cup. Our boys face a huge challenge and will welcome the backing of every ‘Well fan for the 3pm kick-off.
Stephen Craigan’s team are the only young side left in the competition but they will have to eliminate the side that was relegated from the Premiership last season if they are to make further progress.
They had a great win away to Sligo Rovers in the last round. Previously they overcame Dundee U21 and East Stirlingshire.
Ross County last visited Fir Park in January and a repeat of the 2-0 score would see us in the semi-final. County have lost only two of their thirteen league games this season and have aspirations for promotion as they chase leaders Ayr United.
Fans can pay at the John Hunter gate (Adults £8, Concessions £4, Under 16s £2) or buy tickets online via the club website.
The full draw for the quarter finals is
Queen’s Park v Connah's Quay Nomads (7.45 BBC Alba Friday)
Bohemians v East Fife
Edinburgh City v Alloa
Motherwell U21 v Ross County
