More Fir Park arrivals

The changes following the adoption of Les Hutchison's grand plan have been remarkable.

Our new owner made it clear that investment in the club's infrastructure was needed to ensure future financial stability.  Since Ian Baraclough was appointed last winter it has become a challenge to track the new personnel at Fir Park.  Changes in the playing staff have been well documented but it's worth taking a moment to recognise the backroom turnaround.

Stephen Robinson joined as assistant manager in February as we struggled to avoid the drop.  He revealed that Stephen Craigan's views about Motherwell were an important factor in his decision to accept the job.  The pair had both been on the strength of the Northern Ireland training staff.  Now Craigan has been appointed as our U20s coach.

Our former captain starts this new venture in his career with his third spell at Fir Park.  He joins an ever growing list of those who can't resist the pull of Motherwell FC.

Jim Hollman is our new Goalkeeping coach following the departure of Gordon Marshall.  No doubt he'll be involved in the search to add a new 'keeper to partner Dan Twardzik.

Gordon Crawford was another arrival in February.  His title, Physical Performance and Conditioning Coach tells all.  We are told that the medical bill for injured players is already reducing  as a result of his care.

The latest recruits are Paul Matthew as Head Groundsman and Keith Campbell as head of Marketing and Commercial.  Both are vital to the club's success and while Paul's efforts will be on show at every home game, Keith's efforts at maximising income off the field will provide another income stream.

There should be more to come.   We have a vacancy for a Head of Recruitment and it appears that the post of Communications Manager, advertised in April, has not been filled.

Good luck to all!
