The Fir Park ticket office has dispatched the annual renewal reminders to current holders who have until June 30 to secure their seat.
Prices are held and the existing incentives to encourage young fans to join up remain. Under 11s have FREE entry when a parent buys a Cooper Stand brief and juveniles add only thirty pounds to the cost of an adult in the same stand (£240 for the joint ticket). An adult ticket in the East Stand remains at a reasonable £180.
The successful ‘Awayday Discount’ which gives season ticket holders reduced price entry to Rugby Park has been extended. The growth of this reciprocal scheme is potentially a key factor in encouraging an increased take up of season tickets.
Next season’s benefits include vouchers to allow under 12s free entry to Aberdeen and Dunfermline, reduced entry to Tynecastle (£12/£6) and 25% off of entry to Rugby Park. The club should be congratulated for negotiating these deals – let’s hope they can be further extended next season.
The office is open during the week from 10am-4pm and in June there is ‘late night shopping’ on Thursday’s until 6pm to help you renew your season ticket. The office is open on Saturday’s 10am-2pm.
The Caribbean Fun Night went down like a lead balloon last month but the club are trying again with another event. A comedy night will take place on Friday 27th June and offers drinks promotions, possible prizes and no doubt the potential for drunken Motherwell songs at the end. Tickets can be bought for only £3 by calling 333033.
The club are also continuing to push their 'Davie Cooper Memorial Wall' idea where fans can buy a brick for £25 and leave a message of their choice. We understand uptake of this chance has been slow and from earlier posts on the FPC message board, some fans feel that we are using Cooper's name as a marketing tool when there are other, more worthy, Fir Park legends who have not yet been honoured. However, the club does need the money and a brick could be an interesting birthday present for someone.
