It was clear that he had not enjoyed the time at Millwall when he was not in a striker's role and was keen to get back to what he enjoyed best - scoring goals.
He was delighted to be back at the club where he had so many happy memories. As soon as he was aware of Motherwell's interest whatever other options he had were put to the side. His wife was also keen on the move.
Had he sitll got anything to prove? "100%" He still has more to give and wants to get back to what he does best. "I'm here for football reasons, not financial gain. Coming here was a no brainer".
He'll meet the players tomorrow and he's ready to play on Saturday. He knows he's in the shop window for the next contract "whether here or elsewhere".
