Apart from a two year spell with Plymoth Argyle, Lasley has been at Fir Park since 1999 and captain since Stephen Craigan’s retirement two years ago. He has been a crucial part of the team’s great achievements in the last few years and he’ll be keen to drive his team mates to more triumphs.
Then...
His interview on MFC TV focussed on his veteran status (he’s now 34 years old) but he made it clear that he’ll be fit and able to lead the club forward. There was more than a hint that the increasing references to his age are something that he’ll take in his stride. He’ll know when it’s time to slow down.
...and now.
Lasley and Moore join Reid, Hammell and McManus in pledging their services alongside new boys Law and Twardzik and we await with interest to hear if Ainsworth takes up his offer. The winger has been freed by Rotherham.
