Kilmarnock Preview

The view from the away end
For the first time in many weeks there is a debate about the starting line up. Captain Scott had to leave the park at the start of the second half with a dislocated shoulder and he must be considered doubtful. So who is the likely replacement?

Jason Dair stepped into the breech on Tuesday but the fact that we were two down at the time may have influenced TB’s choice. Shaun Fagan has been on the bench for some time and may be a possible candidate for the midfield slot. Toastie is another possible stand-in and he played most of the second half the other night. But he still looks to be a bit short of full match readiness.

Kilmarnock came back from an opener by Thistle last Saturday to win 4-2 at Firhill. They are in ninth place with fourteen points but they have won only once at Rugby Park this season. Ex ‘Well keeper Dubourdeau seems to have established himself in goals and it will be interesting to hear the welcome he receives from the ‘Well crowd.

Season ticket holders will get a reduction in entry to the game thanks to the reciprocal agreement between the clubs. Both clubs (and others who participate) are to be encouraged in this development and they deserve some good press for their attempts to minimise the cost s for the travelling supporters.

Let’s hope we fill the Chadwick Stand and that our marvellous run of results continues. Our confidence is high. 1-0 for the Mighty ‘Well.

Here are the Head-toHead results between the teams.
