A week ahead of his Q&A session with Motherwell fans the club's owner spent some time with Gordon Duncan and we were treated to a few minutes chat on Tuesday's Superscoreboard.
The focus was largely concerned with the effect that a possible relegation might have on the club. Les revealed that he wasn't nervous though he couldn't speak for his daughter! He confirmed that the business plan with its 3-5 year timescale would remain unchanged if we were to drop a division.
If the worst was to happen there would be no cloth cut to reflect the new circumstance. It was not 'hyper-critical', he was here to deliver the plan and was confident of the way forward.
His reply to a question about the end of season turnaround of players suggested that there would be "no forced changes" although those on loan would be returning to their home clubs.
Asked about his biggest challenge he returned to the business plan and the need to ensure that the current club and Society board members were in a position to carry on with the business when his involvement came to an end.
We'll have a better insight into his thinking after next Tuesday's session in the Centenary Suite. That evening has a 7.30pm start with the doors open an hour earlier.
Have your say on the messageboard.
