After the first four games last year we had no points and a negative goal difference of seven. That disaster set the tone for the rest of the season and determined that our interest would be in the bottom six.

In contrast we have a team which must be buoyed by the encouraging start. They have a belief that McGhee's on field tactics and off field training methods are working and can look forward to the games ahead with confidence.
Saturday's performance did not produce much of the pretty passing game which characterised the first three outings and there is no doubt that we got the rub of the green with the goals. What we did see was an ability to scrap and compete with a fairly physical side. If we can't produce one then we have to be ably to play the other.
Another pleasing aspect to the early season form is that our six goals have come from six different players. All the strikers have found the net and there is competition for places.
