Our total domination of the first hour of the game was as much due to the opposition's ineffectiveness as it was to our attacking prowess. We had so much untroubled possession that many of our scoring chances were the culmination of neat passing moves. In truth we should have had the game won by the break and the fact that we were unable to convert any of our chances has to be a cause for concern.
Jim Leishman's half time team talk failed to inspire his charges for the second period. They were unable to break out and only came to life after we took the lead. During that ten minute spell they managed their only shot on target.
Jim Hamilton hardly got a touch. It was a pleasure to see young Reynolds contain the old striker and it is difficult to see how he can help keep the Pars above water. We can take some comfort knowing that they visit Tynecastle next week. Surely we will finish above them this season?
