Falkirk have succeeded in dragging out a process which should have been ended on April 1 until June 26 – an impressive achievement. Their appeal against the SPL vote which confirmed their First Division status was heard on Wednesday evening by a three man SFA committee consisting of SFA President John McBeth, Vice President George Peat and Lord MacLean, the Court of Session judge who will be chairing the meeting.
Falkirk, Motherwell and the SPL all have the opportunity to make submissions to the panel – and these have not yet been completed.
David Taylor said, ""We have spent almost three hours on the case tonight. It is a complicated set of legal arguments we are considering and to be fair to both parties we will listen to these in some depth". It is possible that the a resolution could be days away!
However, this delay should not be viewed as an indication of whether we will stay up or go down. Another anxious wait awaits....
