Confusion Surrounds McFadden
Last updated : 25 May 2002 By FirParkCorner
Two stories have been made public about James McFadden in Hong Kong. The first, which appeared earlier today, suggested he was left behind due to a mix up over seats on the flight home. There are 42 in the Scotland party but allegedly there were only 40 spaces on the plane. McFadden and SFA security officer Wille McDougall were supposedly the unlucky ones who had to wait thirteen hours for the next flight to Heathrow.

However, a new story has recently hit the streets. It emerges that the squad were given permission to have a night on the town before they went home and young James got a bit carried away. According to SFA media spokesman Andy Mitchell, Faddy 'slept in'. He just didn't make it back to the hotel, slept somewhere else and duly missed his flight home.
It is believed that Berti Vogts is eager to have a word with young James to find out exactly what happened. It would be very inappropriate of FPC to speculate that James' girlfriend will also have some questions for him...
