Oops! It's humble pie all round at FPC towers as it turns out that the old firm have not yet agreed to an 8-4 voting arrangement in the SPL and no TV deal has been agreed with the BBC. However, in true journalistic fashion, we'll pass the responsibility onto the Rangers official website which broke the story.
Despite this small setback, changes must be forthcoming. The 'rebel 10' will have to conclude their negotiations with the old firm soon as the deadline for resigning from the SPL looms large.
It is also the case that negotiations with the BBC are at an advanced stage. It makes sense for both parties to reach a compromise but this can only happen when the old firm and the other clubs find some common ground.
In other news, Eric Deloumeaux looks to be staying at Fir Park after Coventry turned down the chance to buy him for £50,000. Considering that Eric Black paid twice this amount to bring him to Fir Park and his value can only have gone up, this seems a strange move. Perhaps this is just a negotiating trick or Black expects Eric Del's form to dip. Either way, we'll be happy to keep him although Bryan Jackson suggests that other clubs may be interested in his services.
No Motherwell players were included in Ross Mathie's Scotland U20 squad.
