On the other hand, we were on a good run before we ran up against Rangers twice. The narrowness of the scoreline from Sunday should not disguise the true nature of the match and we will have to improve if we are to take something from this game.
We will be without Phil O’Donnell who is out for the rest of the season and questions will be asked over Gordon Marshall. The experienced goalie has been distinctly out of sorts in the last couple of matches and Terry must be considering utilising Barry John Corr. In the midfield, Kerr and Fitzpatrick will be staking a claim for a starting place which would allow Corrigan to return to right back.
Aberdeen have only managed 18 home goals all season, a total only one better than Dundee who have the worst record. It will not be easy for us though as they have only allowed 11 goals against, a total bettered by no one outside the Old Firm. Noel Whelan is finally showing that he can find the net and we will need to watch him carefully.
The Dons have been more consistent than us this season but if both teams play to their full potential there is probably not much between them. If we can forget about the implications of Killie playing
