The bookies are fairly confident that the home side will add to their 28 league goals and have them established as firm favourites. One of the strengths of our hosts is that their goals are spread widely throughout the squad. There is no reliance on any particular player, as evidence Hayes, McGinn and Rooney have four goals each. We’ll have to be on top form to keep them out.
Happy fans, happy players
Celtic are the only team to come away from Pittodrie with a win and McInnes is happy to talk of that ahead of our visit. 'Well fans will be quick to remind him of the happy day at the end of the 2014 season when Craig Reid's late classic beat the Dons and placed Motherwell in the runner-up spot.
For Motherwell it may be a self-selecting team that takes to the pitch. Cadden and Hammell did not get stripped on Saturday and Moult and McDonald were given the nod an hour and a half before the game. MacLean needed on-field treatment and was withdrawn early in the second half. Half of our regular staring eleven may be missing.
The manager has made much of the promotion of younger players and this will be another opportunity for Ferguson, McMillan Hastie and Co. to gain valuable game time minutes.
Aberdeen have reduced process in operation for this fixture; Adults £19, Over 65 £14, Student & over 75 £10, Under 18 £6 and Under 12 £3. The referee will be Alan Muir.
Few will expect an away win and many will risk a pound or two on a 2-0 defeat.
