A Windfall for the ‘Well

The club will have to increase revenues to avoid a slow slide back into the red and that is where fans’ fundraising can make the difference.

A sneak preview of the 'Well Windfall Ticket

Two new schemes are about to be launched by the club and they deserve to be supported. Crucial to the success of the ideas will be the recruitment of agents. The club is actively seeking to set up a network of folk to promote the fundraisers and Allen Robertson is waiting by his telephone at Fir Park (01698 338003) to take your call. His mobile number is 07717 708064.

The commission available is a generous 12½% and sellers are encouraged to make the best of it. No doubt some will waive their fee and others may decide to donate it to the ‘Well Trust, their Supporters Association or even FirParkCorner FC but those keen to clear the cost of their season ticket have the opportunity to make substantial amounts while helping the club!

The most important issue is that the monies raised will be targeted to the Youth Development Fund. It is vital that we maintain the flow of cash to this side of the club.

The ‘Well Windfall is a scratchcard scheme. Each card costs £1 and offers three games. Prizes range from one to five thousand pounds. The cards will be launched early in December and although they will be on sale at the ground on match days the success of the scheme will depend on agents building up a regular set of customers. Work colleagues, friends and relations can all play their part to support the club and have a chance to win a few pounds at the same time. Phone Allen on 338003 for more information.

The existing SuperWell 7 draw is to have a major overhaul. In order to increase the scale of the scheme a number of clubs are joining together to enable more prizes to be won more often than with the present draw. The idea is that supporters pay a pound a week (standing order monthly or quarterly preferred) and simply wait for the money to roll in! Weekly draws will take place for prizes up to £100, a £250 draw takes place every six or seven weeks and there will be four chances a year to win £1000.

“If you don’t buy a ticket you won’t win the prize”.
